The genocide led to death of about 500,000-1,000, 000 Rwandans during the 100 days from period of 7 April to mid-july 1994, the death were mostly Tutist while the killers were mostly Hutus and this led to an estimated 2, 000, 000 Rwandans displaced and became a refugees.The genocide was to destroyed an entire group of people completely.

The killings ended when Tutsi-backed and heavily armed Rwandan Patriotic Front (RPF) took control of the country.
Today, Rwandan set two public holiday aside to mourn the genocide.It begins with Remembrance, the national commemoration on 7 April and Concludes with Liberation Day On 4 July.
